University has started for me and let’s just say I’m still in the holiday zone. What else to do than post a review hey.
I purchased the Too Faced primer – oil free a few weeks ago and my expectations were overwhelmingly high. I thought to myself.. yes I’m going to look flawless and my makeup will stay on all day. Little did I know, it did the complete opposite! Being a combination skin and wearing makeup all day doesn’t serve me right unless I have the right primer and foundation.
The first time i wore the Two Faced oil free primer, I started to get oily around my t-zone area (which is normal for me) before noon. I thought to myself maybe it’s because I’ve been running around all day. So, I used it the second time and it did exactly the same thing. In fact, I got even oilier throughout the day and had to blot multiple times. I even had to ask for a second and third opinion from my work colleges to see if I’m shiny.
The texture of the primer is very light weight which I loved. It doesn’t really feel heavy on the skin and it actually sets a very good base for the foundation.
I normally use the Perfect Canvas primer by Models Prefer which does the job for me and I don’t get as oily compared to the Two Faced primer. Yes, I was disappointed that it wasn’t what I expected but I guess it will benefit someone with extremely dry skin. Not combination like mine.
It’s a shame this didn’t work out for me.. I was allured by it’s fancy packaging and it’s ‘oil free’ purpose.
I’m curious as to what other people’s reviews are on this particular primer? Does it work for you or did you encounter the same problem as me?
I don’t know if anyone would be interested to purchase this but I’ll put it out there as I don’t think I’ll be wearing this a third time. I purchased it for $39.95 and I’m happy to sell it for $25 (not including shipping). If you’re interested, just pm me! 🙂
Hope you enjoyed reading,
