Bourjois Air Mat Foundation

Hi all,

I’ve always heard great things about Bourjois foundations but i’ve never actually laid my hands on them. Actually I lied… i tried some on but I didn’t quite like the texture because it was thick and pasty and I felt like I’d get extremelly oily.

But, the all new Bourjois Air Mat foundation is my all time holy grail. I’ve been trying to find an extremely yellow based drugstore foundation for quite some time. And I’ve finally found it! The great thing is, a little actually goes a long way. I only squirt out about 2cm on my airbrush foundation brush and blend it all in. It’s a light weight foundation that goes a long way. And when I say it goes a long way it really does (in terms of an everyday wear it lasts ALL DAY). My face doesn’t get as oily (only a little on my nose) AND I don’t even put powder on top to set it. In the photo below I’ve used a contour powder for contouring but not an all over the face powder to set everything in.

The colour range for this foundation tends to be quite light. The store I purchased this from only had 3 shades but I’m quite certain that it comes in more shades. I’m wearing (04 Beige) which works well with my skin tone. I have very fair skin but I always tend to go a shade or two darker on my face just to give it some colour as I don’t like looking like a ghost.

Like I said earlier I don’t even need powder to finish off my look. It’s a long wear foundation that literally lasts an entire day. I feel like the makeup doesn’t even budge on my face which can be a good/bad thing depending on your makeup preferences.

I’ve worn this more than once and I didn’t break out in any way. It’s something i’d definitely repurchase and wear on a daily basis.

Pros:

  • long lasting (will last 12 hours on your face)
  • matte finish (i don’t even need a powder to set it)
  • light weight
  • won’t budge

Cons:

  • powdery finish (will show breakouts)
